About Us
We connect with designers, educators, hardware and software engineers, financial strategists, doctors, students, and parents.
We have a close friend, a son, a daughter, and a cousin who has a learning difference. We know they are gifted, but we see them struggle, give up, and feel less than because they learn and process differently. Our teachers are overwhelmed and understaffed and feel bad when they see a student become disengaged because of anxiety or frustration in our fast-paced academic curriculum.
If you have an interest in education, training, AI, computer vision technology, UI/UX experiences, conversational interfaces, data collection, data analysis, and teens from ages 11-17 years old with learning differences. Please email us at connect@guardianairwaves.com

She founded Guardian Airwaves LLC in 2017, and was awarded by PSCR (division of NIST) for her UI/UX VR HUD Navigation Design in 2018. As a product designer, who understands the importance of user research, usability testing, and the iterative design process. Her interest in AI to help students with learning differences, anxiety over academics, and help them achieve their potential.
“My focus shifted when I explored the use of immersive technology (VR) for training first responders. I identified significant gaps in the EdTech space, where personalized learning and user-centered design were under utilized. This insight led me to envision a solution: a product powered by AI to create personalized learning experiences, streamline educational workflows, and engage students with learning differences.
This mission is deeply personal. As a parent of three teens in the public school system in Marin County, each navigating ADHD and co-existing mental health challenges, I’ve seen firsthand the lack of support in special education, the shortage of effective tools, and the underfunding of programs for students with diverse needs.
I aim to create dynamic, accessible learning experiences. As user advocate and user centric designer, I will be working closely with educators, students, and agencies to empower both learners and educators with innovative solutions.”

“Inspired by my wife’s work as an educator and math tutor, I recognized the immense potential for technology to bridge gaps in the education system, particularly for students with special needs. Listening to friends and educators, I hear the heavy frustrations, feelings of being overwhelmed from the teachers. I heard of students’ desire of wanting to do online learning more and more because its at their own pace.
In the current world, education can not exist separately from technology. My vision extends beyond traditional classroom settings, aiming to revolutionize how education is delivered and consumed in an increasingly interconnected world. Solutions can be built leveraging technologies like AI-Powered Emotion and Behavior Recognition for Empathetic Learning, Computer vision, Multimodal AI etc. Nanolearning is gaining momentum. I know we can build learning systems to help special ed students in a personalized, customizable way.”

Nidhi Shrivastava
Educator, Community Builder
Nidhi is an educator at the Tamalpais Union High School District in California, ranked 69th out of 10,561 school districts in the United States. She has 10 years of core teaching experience with 504/IEP students. Nidhi has also worked at Kentfield School District – Bacich Elementary School. Nidhi holds B.S. in Microbiology, Teaching Credentials, and an MBA degree in Human Resources. Nidhi is also an established private tutor.
“One of my most striking experiences was with a student enrolled in an AP Pre-Calculus class. It was not a problem of capability but of support. It was then that I realized that students like him, ones with IEPs, 504 plans, ADHD, or simply different learning needs, were often overlooked. Their differences are not viewed as growth opportunities, and students are encouraged not to pursue ambitious paths.
For students, I envisioned tools that would take complex concepts and break them down into understandable tidbits; make learning self-paced, with alternative approaches to assessment. For teachers, I would want to create a system that alleviates some of their work but gives them the ability to offer personalized support to every single one of their students. Education should not be conformed, but it should empower each learner to his full potential.“
