Lisa is a certified Emergency Medical Responder and participates in CERT live-simulations of disasters. Lisa has over 15 years of design & production experience in various media and platforms. Lisa has worked at for Milai Corporation (Tokyo), Sony Imageworks, Pixar and a few game companies. At InHance, Lisa managed the production of computer-generated simulations of Boeing’s Future Combat Systems where she found technology to be as limitless as the human imagination and the focus should now be on public safety.
Ph.D – Machine Learning
Pallavi has more than 5 years of experience in working with different machine learning algorithms for natural language processing applications. At the Hindustan Institute of Technology & Science, she presented her Ph.D thesis on “Named Entity Recognition (NER) for Kannada” showcased NER’s English, Kannada, Tamil and other Hindi languages.” She published 5 research papers related to her research. Pallavi envisions implementing ML algorithms to GA’s public safety & emergency response training scenarios.
Oil & Gas Industry Safety Advisor
Tim has 20+ years of experience with the oil and gas industry in health and safety together with 10 years of experience in developing and delivering industrial training and university education. He has developed several VR applications to assess the safety behaviors of offshore workers and has published the results at international conferences. Tim’s goal is to develop VR training and assessment for the hazardous industries to prevent workers having to learn by accident.
Tactical Firefighting Advisor
Herb has over 40 years of experience with Cal Fire in training, safety, and operations, retiring as a Division Chief in Tehama-Glenn Unit. He worked as Safety Officer (SOF 1) on large incidents and Serious Accident Investigation Teams. He has developed a version of the Rattlesnake Fire (1953) staff ride for Cal Fire and other FD firefighters and officers, and has continued to lead staff rides into his retirement. He lives in Red Bluff, California with his wife, Olivia.

Raghav Bashyal is a VR developer and game designer who is passionate about storytelling and designing interactions. Raghav’s work has been featured at games and play festivals in the US and Europe. Having been drawn to tech, design, and interactive media from an early age, Raghav is an avid experimenter who seeks to discover and create new and interactive experiences.

Dante is passionate about virtual reality technology and innovation. He brings his curiosity and passion for programming haptic responses in Guardian Airwaves’ training modules. Dante is eager to develop on both Unreal and Unity Platforms.
Hans started as an engineer with Mercedes Benz before making a career change that took him on a 23+ year journey in product innovation, development, and digital content. During this time directing and production 6 ACADEMY AWARD®
nominations for “Best Visual Effects” Polygon Entertainment, Electronic Arts, Industrial Light + Magic, and Lucasfilm. He is the founder of FYOlabs which is an innovation lab and technology company revolutionizing consumers’ interactions and experiences with screens and current technologies.
Intern / Drone Pilot
Matteo has over 5 years of experience in the field of drones. As a commercial FAA Part 107 licensed sUAS operator, Matteo acquires data for Guardian Airwaves photogrammetry sector to produce accurate 3D terrain models for its simulation environments.
Max is a visual & game programmer who has experience in both the gaming and simulation industries. His efficiency in coding for simulation data, technical animation and game mechanics in both Unity and Unreal is phenomenal.
Medical Response Advisor
Doug is a retired U.S. Air Force pilot who flew both fighters and Combat Search and Rescue helicopters and is a Desert Storm veteran. After retiring from the military, he flew civilian medivac helicopters in Texas and Colorado. After leaving aviation, he earned his EMT and phlebotomy certifications and worked as an EMT. Doug currently works as an Emergency Department Technician II and is an Adjunct Instructor in the Fire Technology/EMT program at College of Marin. He is a member of the National Association of EMS Educators.

Ricky has over 16 years of professional experience in character mechanics, simulation, tools development, software development, and anatomy. His creative problem solving led him into a strong career path at Electronic Arts, Lucas Film, Image Movers Digital, ILM, Digital Domain, 2K games, and Telltale Games. Ricky now joins Guardian Airwaves – “Let’s go help some people!”
